Yemenat-private

Renewing welcoming the resolution of annulling of Aden Port operating and Managing by Dubai Ports Authorities and its strongly condemn of minister of transport, Mr. Waied Badeeb's attempted assassination after the resolution issuing, the PRSF considers the state's non-declaring a support for the resolution as surprising, while it did not launch a probe into corruption cases regarding Aden containers operating and managing agreement, and the attempted assassination, with purpose of disclose those involved and bring them to justice.

Highly appreciating such a resolution, the PRSF considers it an action that came late to correct an essentially deteriorated situation as the agreement was signed under corrupted circumstances, violated rights, and absence of national sovereignty at one of the most important ports of Yemen. It is not enough to annul the deal, rather, a comprehensive, transparent, and quick judicial investigation have to be launched in a way that ensures unveiling all those involved  in the notorious bargain, holding the them full accountable for material and moral losses sustained by the port and the country.

The PRSF calls also for demanding Dubai Port Authorities to pay material compensation due to its Aden Port-related violated legal obligations, driving it into malfunction and associate a bad reputation with it, a matter which requires expensive long-term reforms for it to recover its former position.

The PRSF calls for all people of Yemen and civil society organizations, to use available peaceful means for supporting the great national resolution (of annulment), express their advocate and to denounce the attempted assassination of the transport minister. It also calls for concerned authorities to inform the public opinion about details of the issue.
