فرقة يمنية تشارك بجائزة الحرية العالمية

قال شادي ناشر مدير تنظيم حفلات فرقة “3 METERS AWAY” أن فرقتهم اليمنية ترشحت لجائزة الحرية العالمية وذلك بعد أن سمع منظمون الجائزة عن أعمال الفرقة وأغانيها التي تصب حول الحقوق والحريات في اليمن، وأيضاً لكونها الفرقة الأولى التي تغني بفن الريجي في اليمن وتسخره لخدمة الحرية والسلام..

الفرقة التابعة للفنان الشاب أحمد عسيري كانت قد قامت بإحياء حفلات فنية كثيرة خلال الفترة السابقة في مختلف العواصم اليمنية، كما أحيت أيضاً بعض الحفلات في مناطق متفرقة من العاصمة الأثيوبية أديس أبابا..

وفي تصريح صحفي قال الفنان أحمد عسيري أنهم ليسو الوحيدون من الشرق الأوسط الذين تم ترشيحهم للمشاركة في الجائزة التي أغلق باب الترشيح لها في 30 يوليو المنصرم.. مضيفاً أن احتفال الجائزة لهذا العام سيكون في نوفمبر من العام الحالي وذلك في كيب تاون..

وجائزة الحرية بدأت عام 2007للاحتفال بشجاعة وإبداع الفنانين، وتأثيرهم الإيجابي للوسط الشعبي.. وتهدف لتعزيز العدالة الاجتماعية وإلهام روح الإنسان.. وتعد الجائزة مفتوحة لجميع أشكال الفن في أي مجال والإبداعية من أي فرد أو مجموعة من أي نوع الجنس أو الدين أو الجنسية.

A Yemeni music band participating in an international prize Freedom To Create

Shady Nasher, the manager of concerts of3 METERS AWAY music band, said that the band has been nominated for Freedom To Create prize after the organizers heard about the band`s concerts and their songs which are about human rights and freedom in Yemen , in addition to that, the Ahmed Asery is the first one who plays reggae in middle east in Arabic and use it to spread their message for peace, freedom and social justice.
The band had concerts in Yemeni and Ethiopian cities and have participated lately in the band`s ONE LOVE project, that is promoting peace and love around the world.

In press release, Ahmed Asery, singer songwriter and guitarist , said that there are a lot of artists participating and nominated for the prize, and that the deadline for it was the 30th of July, he added that , the ceremony for the prize is going to take a place in south Africa.

Freedom To Create prize started in 2007 to support the artists for their positive affect on people. This prize is open for all kinds of art and for anyone of any nationality.
