Major General Yahya Al-Ra'ai, the Yemeni Speaker of the House of Parliament had verbally insulted Judge Ahmed Saif Hashed MP and had even tried to attack him physically on Wednesday's session held in the House of Parliament.

A source attended the session said the Judge Ahmed Saif Hashed MP was speaking on the Council's position on the issue of his assassination attempt and the physical attack on the Revolution's wounded, he also spoke on the council's personnel issues, wondering about the council's budget, as he is asked by the guards to pay a daily amount for the protection they provide him while protesting, since he began the protest at the Council since last Saturday.

The source explained that Yahya Al-Ra'ai replied by cursing and swearing, to which Judge Ahmed Hashed objected to the manners which he considered to be unfit for such for the Speaker of House that represents the people, Al-Ra'ai repeated by using the same words and strained Judge Hashed by holding his clothing, which necessitated the intervention of some MPs to separate them.

Judge Hashed MP requested his colleagues the members of the council to put a stop to the behaviour of the Speaker of the House which is an abuse of his position as the Speaker of Parliament, and a representative of the people, but the council had taken no steps.

The source confirmed that Al-Ra'ai instructed his guards and the council's guards to close the chamber and to prevent Judge Hashed MP from protesting in the council, even if force is required.

Judge Hashed MP returned to the protest at the gates of the House of Parliament, while dozens of the Revolution's wounded and others had gathered with him in the protest, also protesting against the rude attitude that is not fit for a government officer dealing with a representative of the people, a leader in the Youth Revolution, which was against Al-Ra'ai and his likes that still are part of the system that the people had rebelled against.

Yahya Al-Ra'ai is considered to be an officer of the old Saleh's regime, activists had published a video on Facebook that shows Al-Ra'ai inciting bullies to murder the Revolution's Youths during the uprising in 2011, of which Judge Hashed was one of its prominent leaders.

Observers considered Al-Ra'ai's attitude as a message to certain parties that he is adopting the opposite of Judge Hashed's, and is trying to improve his image with the ruling power which had usurped the Youth Revolution.

Judge Hashed MP started his protest under the Dome of Parliament last Saturday, in protest of the Presidential Commission's Refusal to question the Minister of Interior for not referring the accused of trying to kill Judge Hashed MP and assaulting the wounded on 12th February 2013 to the prosecutors for investigation.
