RSF Declares Committee of Justice, Present New Vision for Reformed Judiciary
The Committee of Justice CJ, one of the peaceful revolution Salvation Front's shadow committees, have been declared Wednesday May 8th, in a press conference held at Eagle.
It was declared in the conference, attended by Minister of Technical Education and Professional Training, in which MP Ahmed Saif Hashid; Head of preparatory committee of RSF recited declaration statement, which tackled the causes standing behind such declaring as it considered to be one of RSF's shadow committees and a preparatory committee to form a shadow government that can monitor the real government and observe its violations of performance.
The statement addressed the goals to be achieved by the committee in addition to its key role of monitoring judiciary and lawsuits filed by the committee in various law courts and including constitutional suits on law of supreme positions' holders in the state to be filed by the committee.
The CJ consists of Judges Abdulwahab Qatran and Noaman Hamdain, prosecution member Mohammed Alfaqih, lawyer Najeeb Alhaj, lawyer Jalal Hundad, lawyer Najeed Alqali and lawyer Abduraqeeb Ahmed Alhaidari.
During the event a briefing on the committee was recited by lawyer Jalal Hindad, while judge Abdulwahab Qatran addressed, in a report he prepared, a number of violations have been committed in judicial authority since formation of the consensus government early Dec 2011.
In his report, Qatran unveiled Ikhwan,s (Brotherhood) dominance of Judicial Authority, job exploiting by Minister of Justice's towards his partisan agendas, nepotism and letting his Party's affiliates hold sensitive posts.
Ikhwan's work towards dominating on law courts, especially exceptional ones, which they had been objecting them being formed, and how these courts were used to suppress opponents. The report disclosed, listing several cases of violations and names of Ikhwan-affiliates penetrating in the judicial system.
It also presented a vision to reform judicial system and make it independent and uncontrollable by the executive authority.
